JAFFER SULEMAN MUSAFIRKHANA TRUST

The trust was founded 100 years ago and it now provides:

1. Hostel accommodation to about 400 students who come to Mumbai for further studies after school. The hostel is considered to be one of the best hostel in India in terms of facilities, hygiene standards & management. more..

2. It provides subsidized accommodation mainly to cancer patients who come to Mumbai for treatment, checkup, etc.more..

3. It provides about Rs. 35 lacs medical, educational and relief of poverty aid every year.

4. It successfully runs a school for street children, whose parents don't bother about sending them to schools.

5. A free tuition class and recreation centre is setup for hutment children in Kurla.

6. It runs a Dialysis Centre with eight (8) machines run on international standards. more..

                    As a result of its continuous expansion plans, the Trust acquired two new premises at Kurla, in North Mumbai in October 2002 and January 2004 respectively. A Dialysis Centre with the latest machines is housed in one of the premises. The Dialysis Centre catering to the weaker classes of the community, is considered as one of the best Centres in Mumbai on par with leading hospitals like Breach Candy, Jaslok, etc., in terms of "quality dialysis". In the same premises, there is an Eye Care Clinic in association with the Lotus Hospital Group to provide eye care and surgical facilities at highly subsidized rates, and free of cost to deserving patients.

                    The second building is a residential orphanage for school going girls from ages 6 upwards. The orphan children are provided with all their needs and requirements free of cost to include schooling, food, clothing, activities, etc

                    The upper floor is dedicated to a hostel for working ladies and female students coming to Mumbai for further studies.
