What To Eat And How Much To Eat?

To control Potassium content in diet remember the following:      
Fruit & Fruit Juices, Coconut Water     ü
Coffee, Jam, Cocoa     ü
Tea   ü  
Dudhi Kakdi, Bhindi, Tendli, Methi, Gajar, Fansi, Baigan, Beet, Mooli, Turiya ü    
Mithi aloo, Surgoh, Suran, Kmal Kakdi, Phanas, Ratalu, Kotmir     ü
Tomato, Lasan, Onion, Phoolgobi, Plak, Cabbage   ü

Jampal, Jambu, Ripe Banana, Ripe Papaya , Apple, Chikoo, Daram (any one fruit on dialysis day)

To control Sodium &Phosphate contenet in diet remember the following:      
Bhakri, Roti, Vegetables, Rice, Dal (without salt) ü    
Salty Food, Food with Soda     ü
Pickle, Chutney, Papad     ü
Farsan, Cake, Biscuit, Bhajia, Bread, Dhokla (any food item with soda)     ü
Wafers, Jam, Namkeen Peanuts, Tomato Ketchup,Chana     ü
To control Fats & Proteins in Diet remember the following:      
Mutton, Fish, Chicken     ü
Only Egg White (one day if the egg is taken avoid pulses) ü    
Dry Fruits     ü
Ghee, Oil, Salted Butter   ü  
Milk without Fat ü    
Curd, Buttermilk (made with milk less fat) 2 cups a day approx. 300ml.   ü  
To control Phosphorus content, remember the following:      
Cold drinks like Coco-Cola, Maaza, Fanta, Soda etc.     ü

DIET CHART

TIME LIQUID SOLID
Morning 150 ml (1 cup milk or tea made with milk and 2 spoons sugar) Breakfast: 1 Bhakri/ 2 Khakhras/ 2 thin rotis/ 1 rotla with less oil/ thepla/ 2-3 glucose biscuits/ 2 toasts without butter/ powa or upma made from rawa/ 2 idlis. Use little oil and salt.
Afternoon 200 ml 4 thin rotis without oil, 1 cup dal, 1 cup rice, 1 ½ cup vegetables (no potato) less ghee, oil jaggery, sugar and salt.

Instead of rotis 2 thick chappatis or 2-3 small bhakris can be consumed.

Instead of dal any other pulse only ½ cup can be eaten.

Vegetables Dudhi Kakdi, Bhindi, Methi, Gajar, Fansi, Baigan, Turiya.

Instead of rice khichdi can be eatenSometimes curd can be eaten.
Evening 150 ml (1 cup milk or tea made with milk and 2 spoons sugar) 2 biscuits/ mamra/ 1 khakhra/ 1 bread toast without butter, less salt.
Night 100 ml 2 rotis/ 2 bhakris
